Monday, 6 December 2009 marks the date when the Association of Management Consultants (St Lucia) Inc. – AMCS – takes a major step towards achieving internationally recognized certification for their profession. The three day seminar dubbed “Fundamentals of Management Consulting” will be held at the Bay Gardens Hotel under the auspices of the Barbados based Caribbean Institute of Certified Management Consultants (or CICMC for short).

President of the AMCS, Dr Vasantha Chase explained that the process of certification for management consultants is quite a rigorous one, requiring candidates to submit to intensive examinations and career specific presentations. Despite these challenges however, successful candidates will benefit from international recognition in more than forty countries, and will position themselves to form successful joint venture partnerships in order to take advantage of multilateral trade agreements such as the EPA (Economic partnership Agreement) and the CSME.

The seminar is being sponsored in large part by SEQUA, under the European Union’s SFA 2004 private sector assistance project and is open to all practicing and prospective management consultants. Interested persons may contact the AMCS at telephone 584 0157 before the start of the seminar.

Course Objectives: To provide participants with and in-depth experimental examination of the elements required to obtain the CICMC award of the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation.
