Caribbean consultants from around the region are celebrating International Consultants Day!

Consultants, around the globe, for the past fifteen years, have been both jubilantly and reflectively celebrating the first Thursday in June, which is officially recognized as International Consultants Day.   The Caribbean Institute of Certified Management Consultants (CICMC) proudly join its fellow management consultants’ institutes, collegial members and other consultants in celebrating the milestone celebrations.

CICMC has lots to be thankful for, as it has recently introduced the ISO 20700: 2017 Guidelines for management consultancy services to the region, through a train-the-trainer program.   With the support of its strategic partner, Caribbean Export Development Agency, CICMC is poised to rollout the standard, along with its signature Principals and Practices of Management Consultancy, throughout the region, as it seeks to expand the capacity and improve the competitiveness of consultants in the Caribbean.

Recognizing that our members are drawn from throughout CARIFORUM and the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs), CICMC focuses on seeking commonalities and formulating network partnerships, to strengthen our service offerings to clients and key stakeholders.  On International Consultants’ Day, as we celebrate these strengths, we challenge our governments and key stakeholders to tap into our extensive network talent and resources.

CICMC is an institutional member of the International Council of Management Consultants Institutes, also known as CMC-Global, an umbrella organization comprised of 56 regional institutes and 56,000 consultants. CICMC’s affiliation with CMC-Global speaks to member and institutional access to an extensive regional and global network.

This relationship will be further manifested this coming October (15-18), as CICMC will be hosting CMC-Global’s Annual Conference and Meeting of Delegates, in Nassau, Bahamas.  Last year’s conference and meeting of delegates was hosted in Milan, Italy.

The conference theme for this year’s conference, “CREATING INDELIBLE FOOTPRINTS: Blending technology and networking to progressively expand horizons”, speaks to both the challenges and opportunities that face the industry and regional practitioners.

As the capacity building champion for regional consultants, CICMC continues to focus its efforts on advocating for the enactment of enabling legislation for management consultants and building network global and regional infrastructure, to supplement the efforts of its members and fellow consultants.

As we mark this milestone, CICMC remains most appreciative of our role in the region, as thought leaders and the drivers of innovation. This translates to our commitment to the promotion of knowledge and interaction among our members and quality services to the Caribbean community.

Finally, of equal importance, today we also recognize and thank our regional stakeholders for their ongoing support and extend an invitation all progressive consultants to join us in our journey of advocation, fulfilment and professional gratification.
